Vijay Pasupathinathan is a security consultant and researcher. His interests are in the area of identification and authentication systems, hardware based security, electronic commerce and payments, cryptographic techniques and the use of formal methods in cryptography.

Vijay Pasupathinathan completed his PhD entitled "Hardware Based Identification and Authentication Systems" [pdf] under the guidance of Prof Josef Pieprzyk and Dr Hua Xiong Wang, at Macquarie University. He conducted research in the field of cryptographic protocols used in identification and authentication systems. He has published multiple scholarly articles in international journals and conferences on security topics such as, hardware based identification systems, e-passports, e-payments and e-tendering.
